Home Government Departments Quality of Life Thomas Branigan Memorial Library Thomas Branigan Memorial Library ** THOMAS BRANIGAN MEMORIAL LIBRARY WILL BEGIN LIMITED SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC ON MAY 26, 2020** In compliance with the All Together New Mexico, COVID Safe Practices for Individuals and Employers, Thomas Branigan Memorial Library will begin offering some limited services to the public beginning May 26, 2020. Library patrons can now request curbside pick-up of library materials and those needing access to the public computer lab will be allowed on a limited basis. The Munson and Sage Branches will remain closed. Computer Lab Hours: M-F, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM , call ahead (575) 528-4000, to see if there is a wait or if computers are available. Computer lab capacity has been reduced to allow for social distancing. Masks are required inside the building. Curbside Pick-Up Hours: M-F, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM , call ahead (575) 528-4000, to request pick-up or for more information. Curbside pick-up is contactless and staff cannot accept returns. To comply with the local and state guidelines for safe opening, the Library will be limiting access to the computer lab to 10 people at a time, with a maximum of 30 minutes of computer time. The computers will be sanitized after each use. The computer lab will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday until further notice. Patrons are encouraged to call the Library at (575) 528-4000 before coming to see if computers are available or if there is a wait. Please also note that patrons are required by state and local proclamations and health orders to wear a mask when inside the building and to observe social distancing from others. The Library will provide masks to those who do not have them. Curbside pick-up will also begin on May 26, 2020. Patrons will be able to choose whether to have their materials mailed to them or to pick them up. Hours for curbside service are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Patrons will be asked to call ahead to ensure their materials are ready and to schedule a time for pick-up. Curbside pick-up will be contactless and Library staff will not be able to accept returns from patrons at curbside. Patrons who wish to return items can still use the book drop. Call us at 575-528-4000 or e-mail Library Administration and we can set you up with a card from home.** A free library card is available to Dona Ana County, New Mexico residents with a valid photo ID with a current address, or a valid photo ID and a current proof of address, such as a utility bill or lease. New Mexico residents who live outside of Dona Ana county can receive a free library card with a valid photo ID, current proof of address, and a library card from where they live. Children and teens 17 years and under must have a parent or guardian sign their application for a card. Parents and guardians must have a library account in good standing in order to sign their child up for a card. A $5 replacement fee is charged if the card is lost, stolen or damaged beyond use.
